Our Story

Kodiak Kings is a family-owned and operated charter service located in one of the world's most sought-after cold-water sportfishing destinations, Kodiak, Alaska. A place we are fortunate enough to call HOME! Our passion for fishing is fueled by our ample resources and a thriving fishery. Couple that with unparalleled scenery and you have the perfect recipe for a great day on the water. We are a small and personalized operation and will go the extra mile to ensure you are getting the experience you have dreamed of. Our true passion is salmon trolling, however, if you are looking to jig for bottom fish until your arms quit working, we are happy to do that as well. Maybe you are looking to strictly fish for your entire day, that’s great! However, if you are looking for a more passive day on the water photographing some of our breathtaking sea animals, birds, or scenic views we are happy to slow down and accommodate you. It truly is "YOUR" trip, and we understand for a lot of folks it really is once in a lifetime.
Captain Keith Gray

U.S. Coast Guard OUPV/6 Pack LicensedÂ
Captain Keith is truly one in a million! From an early age he has had an obsession with seeking out and collecting the best Mother Nature has to offer. After spending the majority of his life hunting, fishing, trapping, and guiding the woods and waters of Maine he and his wife Barbara made the move to Kodiak, Alaska in 2010. Keith has hunted, fished, and explored the island of Kodiak ever since. His passion for salmon, especially kings, triumphs over all other saltwater species. Keith is always looking to evoke that “train wreck” strike that widens your eyes as the rod pounds down to the water and the reel screams. His uncanny ability to think like a fish coupled with his passion for putting meat on the deck makes him one of the best captains you could fish with. Keith and does everything in his power to provide his clients with a safe and unforgettable trip of a lifetime.

Captain Jacob also hails from Maine, and is as passionate about putting big Alaskan fish on the deck as anyone. Jacob first came to Kodiak at the age of 19 to spend a summer working construction, and Alaska got into his blood. He made the move shortly after, and has been a Kodiak resident ever since. Jacob is passionate about spending time in outdoors and spends every available moment fishing, hunting or exploring on the Emerald Isle. Jacob is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to fooling fish. He is constantly changing gear and tactics until he’s satisfied he’s found the recipe for the day. Jacob is one of the nicest guys you could ever run up against. His passion for fishing really shines through in his work. He’s a great coach for our less experienced guests and takes pride in providing the best experience possible for all of our clients.
